An exchange forum to facilitate access to practical solutions
With the participation of government representatives, industry experts and committed companies, the first Klimapakt fir Betriber Day was based around a conference, interactive workshops and inspiring testimonials.
During the morning, practical workshops were organised in collaboration with professional chambers and federations, with the aim of making it easier to understand issues such as electricity sharing, electric mobility in companies and continuing employee training. In this context, putting companies in touch with the specific support on offer for the Ministry of the Economy's aid programmes, such as Fit 4 Sustainability and SME packages, enabled business decision-makers to take the first steps towards implementing their projects.
In the afternoon, German expert Michael Heim spoke on the subject of «Produzieren in Zeiten des Klimawandels». Using examples from German SMEs, Dr. Heim illustrated that decarbonisation not only makes it possible to reduce carbon footprints, but also to improve profitability and strengthen the competitiveness of companies. The expert also identified new approaches, including the definition of objectives and the development of action plans, as well as opportunities for collaboration with other companies.
Testimonies from Luxembourg companies supported these findings, demonstrating the benefits of projects such as the installation of photovoltaic panels, decarbonisation in the construction sector and electric mobility in the craft industry.
